Sequin Headphones

Happy Friday crafters!
It's  actually a not-so-happy-Friday for me because I have been off from work ALL week, and I am nearing the end of my vacation. BUT the good news is, the party of the year is this weekend: New Years Eve.
(Confession: I'm not NYE's biggest fan. I mean, I feel like I am under way too my pressure to have THE BEST NIGHT EVER. And there are never any cabs. It's a mess. But I have learned to accept NYE and to appreciate what makes NYE special.)

What I love about New Years Eve: GLITTER.
Dude. It's everywhere. Everyone is wears it. It's like candy for my eyes.

SO, in the spirit of my frienemy New Years Eve, I decided to add some sparkle to my headphones. Yes you heard me right. I have attacked yet another electronic accessory with crafts. I told you, I have a problem.

Hello Lover:

Sequins > Rhinestones. That's my philosophy. On life. Oh, and: Glitter > Everything
Except Martha Stewart. She's pretty much the bees knees.

Supplies:
1. URBANEARS headphones from Urban Outfitters.
2. Sequins from Fun 2 Bead.
3. Hot glue gun from Michael's

(Yes. This is going to be really simple. But time consuming.)

Step 1:
Add a touch of glue to headphones.

Step 2:
Apply a sequin over the glue.

Step 3:
Repeat in a circular patters. Continue until entire plastic face is covered in sequins.

Bling, bling!
I'm ready for New Years! (OK, no I'm not. That would be very anti-social. BUT, I'm ready to ride the subway to any NYE partayyyyy! Pour the champagne!)

Istagram shot! (If you loved me enough to follow me on twitter, you would have already seen this super sexy picture last night. Just sayin'.)

How are you preparing for NYE? Are you wearing glitter and sparkles?! Did you DIY sequins onto your outfit?! I must know.

What a great idea this is, not to mention that this would work great with so many things. The color you chose is beautiful.
