Miu Miu Inspired Earrings

I had a stroke of fimo genius last night, and I made three bad-ass items. I honestly couldn't decide which to show you first. Like, I might have lost some sleep over it. #BloggerGirlProblems

I decided on these Miu Miu inspired earrings because I am totally rocking the lightening-bolt version today. I have received several compliments already, one from a total stranger on the subway. Just sayin'

Check out the originals:
(Thanks, Net-a-Porter, for the inspiration. I love you.)

Check out this fly chick. (That's me.)
Rockin'.

Supplies:
1. Fimo pasta maker from Michael's.
2. E6000 glue from M&J.
3. Crystal beads from Michael's.
4. Fimo in pastel colors from Michael's.
5. An X-Acto knife from a local hardware store.
6. Pliers from a local hardware store.
7. Long push pin from Staple's.
8. Earring loops from Toho Shoji.
9. Small rhinestones from Toho Shoji.
10. Metal pins from Toho Shoji.
11. Metal loops from Toho Shoji.
12. *Not Pictured* Over or toaster Oven.

Step 1:
Warm the fimo in your hand by kneading it for a few minutes.

Step 2:
Pull the fimo through the pasta machine at a thick setting.

Step 3:
Use the X-Acto Knife to cut your shape. One color should be larger and the other slightly smaller.

Step 4:
Place the smaller shape on top of the larger.

Step 5:
Use the push pin to make a hole in each of the larger shapes.

Step 6:
Bake shapes in the toaster over for 5ish minutes at 275ish degrees.

Step 7:
Stick on the rhinestones using the E6000 glue.

Step 8:
Add a crystal bead onto the metal pin. Use the pliers to attach this to the earring loop.

Step 9:
Use the pliers and a metal loop to attach the crystal pin to the fimo shape.

Rad.

Also, one would think these would be one of those items that the male species just doesn't get.
Au contrair, my friends.
A good deal of the compliemtns have come from male coworkers. One was reminded of Saved by the Bell. Another thought they resemble our sub-devision's lightening-bolt logo. I think it looks like a pastel and sparkley comic-book superhero symbol. These are all valid interpretations. And they all rock.

I can make these for you if you e-me. Or if you made them yourself, you should e-me the pictures.

And, just because I know you are on the edge of your seat wondering what delicious song I am obsessed with today...

Beyonce, bitches. Beyonce.
Girl can do no wrong. Ever.
